The Liechtenstein's government issues the following types of residence permits:

  • Permit for an employment on a daily or weekly basis, locally also known as:
    • Bewilligung in Briefform (BiB)
  • Permit for a short term stay, locally also known as:
    • Aufenthaltstitel L (Kurzaufenthaltsbewilligung)
  • Permit for a long term stay, locally also known as:
    • Aufenthaltstitel B (Aufenthaltsbewilligung)
  • Permit for a permanent residency for up to 5 years, locally also known as:
    • Aufenthaltstitel C (Niederlassungsbewilligung)
  • Permit for a permanent residency for up to 10 years, locally also known as:
