About the embassy

Mexico and Austria have a long common history, which is also reflected in common values and principles. The fact that Mexico defended the sovereignty of Austria in the League of Nations in 1938 is a strong element of our diplomatic relations. In addition, today we have modern and dynamic bilateral relations. Mexico is Austria’s most important trading partner in Latin America and the European Union as a whole. High-level trade delegations visited key business and investment centers in another country and achieved outstanding results, such as the creation of large Austrian companies, such as Agrana, ALPLA, AVL, Red Bull and Voestalpine in Mexico and the significant investments of America Movil Telecom. Austria will prove it.
