To apply for a Spain visa for either a short-term or long-term stay, the first thing you should do as kick-off is to learn what documents you need. The needed documents for a Spanish visa are the core of your operation. Derived from them and the visa interview, the Spanish consulate in your country of dwelling takes a decision on your operation. 

The following are the conditions for a visa to Spain demanded by the Spanish authorities to be completely met. 

  • Visa Application Form. 
  • Two biometric prints. 
  •  Your passport. 
  •  Clones of passport runners with information. 
  •  Flight reservation. 
  •  Evidence of accommodation. 
  •  Medical insurance. 
  •  Medical instrument. 
  •  Evidence of sufficient financial means. 

Visa Application Form 

There are two types of Spain visa operation forms. One is a short-stay visa and the other is a long-stay visa operation. The operation form contains questions regarding your identity, surname, date, etc. It also asks questions regarding your trip and intended period of stay. 

Answer the questions Rightly. 

Two biometric pictures 

These pictures should be taken within the last three months, and they should meet the Schengen picture conditions and specifications. 

 Your passport 

Check your passport before you apply. It should have at least one blank page, so the consulate can put the visa sticker on it. 

You also need to make a dupe of all passport runners that contain information on the two main pages with your details and the pages with visa stickers and pictures. 

 Flight reservation 

You need to show evidence of the dates when you plan to travel to Spain and leave the country. This evidence is a flight reservation, which means your name as well as the dates and places of appearance and departure. 

 Evidence of accommodation

When applying for a Spain visa you should show substantiation to the Spanish authorities where you’ll be staying while you’re in Spain. Any of these can be given as proof of accommodation. 

  1. Hostel booking. Submit a booking that contains your name the dates of stay and the details of the hostel. 
  2.  Assignation letter. However, contact details, intended period of stay, If you’ll be staying over with family members living in Spain submit a letter assignation from your call in Spain stating their details ( address.). No photocopy is allowed. 
  3. Reimbursement agreement. If you’ll be renting a place for your stay in Spain you should submit evidence of that. You need to present the rental agreement with the proprietor of the demesne. The document must state the area of the place you’re renting address and the proprietor’s details. 

Medical Insurance 

You must buy trip medical insurance and present this evidence to authorities in charge of visa operation admissions in your country of dwelling. 

When applying for a short-stay visa the medical insurance must cover not only the whole home of Spain but also all other Schengen member countries. It should cover any incident or unlooked-for illness. In addition, and it must be arranged at least for 7 days indeed if you’re planning to stay lower than that, i.e. two days. 

On the other hand, when applying for a long-term visa, you should submit health insurance from an authorized provider in Spain. It must cover medical extradition, evacuation, aseptic backing, etc., with zero deductible and no payment. 

Medical document

A document issued from your health expert issued in the last three months. The document must confirm that you’re free from any complaint that could seriously affect public health. 

Evidence of Sufficient Financial Means 

To be eligible to travel to Spain you must have a specific minimal quantum of funds. You could prove you have these funds by presenting your bank account statements to the consulate. If someone different is going to finance your trip you should submit a letter of support by this person in which they explain why and how are they going to support you. They should submit their bank statements alongside the letter. However, you can submit other documents as evidence of sufficient financial means such as Reimbursement income, a Job contract showing your payment, or If you’re traveling for a long-term stay. 

These are the only major conditions. Regarding the visa type you’re applying for, you’ll be required to collect and submit redundant documents and they should be in A4 format. Documents that aren’t in English or Spanish must be submitted with a pukka restatement.
