To operate in the country, a non-EU national must have a legitimate job permit. The permission can be requested by either the worker or their potential employer, however, this is generally the case.

A permit is only effective for the company that requests it, and it expires if/when the employee quits. The country does not provide universal employment visas.

Who needs the job permit?

Due to their right to free mobility within one another, nationals of the EU, EEA, and Switzerland do not require an employment or residency visa to enter or remain in the nation. If individuals from nations other than these want to perform in the country, they must request a permit.

Additionally, foreign nationals who occasionally come to the country to undertake specific jobs for a brief length of time do not require a permit.
