The beautiful and colorful culture of Finland attracts tourists from all corners of the world including Pakistani visitors. To get to Finland, you need a visa.
Applying to go to any Schengen country, you apply for a Schengen visa. The Schengen visa is valid for 26 countries, which means you can travel freely to any of these countries or state with the Visa and the duration of the visa is for a stay not exceeding 90 days in any 180 days.

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland are Schengen nations.
To stay in Finland for more than three months, a residence permit is what you need. The nationals of the European member state do not need a member permit like Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, or Switzerland.
Applying for a residence permit
You can apply through:
Applying electronically or through the website
If you have a job, a study place, or a family member in Finland, you can apply for a residence permit. The application must be done before you come to Finland.
The European Union visa rule required for the Schengen area visa is that the person must leave the Schengen area before the expiration of the visa. This is the reason why a visa is not granted to a person coming into Finland, to obtain a residence permit or to wait for the decision on residence permit-related issues. Family members of Finnish citizens are not exempted from the rule.
The application is initiated by only you in person, and it can be applied electronically at www.finland.fi or on paper at migri.fi.
Choose your application form correctly based on the reason why you are coming to Finland (job, study place, or family member in Finland).
Carefully fill out the application and make sure that the appendices are correct.
Application through the embassy
Apply to the Embassy of Finland in Abu Dhabi for a residence permit.
If the country you are staying in is different from the country a Finnish mission or VFS application center is, be ready to apply for a visa to the country it is located.
Go to the mission in person and authenticate the application, pay the fee, and get the application form. The fee is non-refundable even if you cancel the application or it is denied.
Immediately after the application, the application will be transferred for processing at the Finnish immigration services.
Though the progress of the processing can be tracked online, you may be invited for an interview for further information.
Immediately after the decision is made, you will be notified.
If the decision is positive, your card will be delivered to the mission. A negative decision means that there were no sufficient grounds for you to be considered for a resident permit.
Losing your residence permit card
If you lose your card when you are abroad, you must apply first for another at a Finnish diplomatic or consular mission to be able to return to Finland, even if you have a valid residence permit. Visa cannot be granted for this post and the visa code is not a requirement for return. A Visa code is a situation where a visa can be granted.
Expired permit card
If while you are abroad, your visa permit expires, apply for a new one at any Finish diplomatic or consular mission. Note that a visa in this situation according to the visa code cannot be granted for this purpose.
