Passport of Turkey
The passport of Turkey is a document that proves that a person has a citizenship of Turkey. If you apply for a residency programme with the aim of getting a citizenship, acquiring a passport is one of your primary aims.
Turkey's passport is considered to be the 91st strongest passport out of 199 passports of the world. The holders of the passport can enter 71 countries with no visa requirements and in 46 jursidictions they would receive a visa on arrival. In 81 countries, the holder of the passport would still need a visa. This makes the passport of Turkey (and, by default, Turkey's citizenship) stronger than 54% of the world's citizenships.
The passport is valid for 10 years. There is also an electronic, machine-readable version of the document. The passport issuing authority of Turkey is Ministry of the Interior. The passport of the current format is rather old. It has been in use for 14 years, since 1 June 2010.
