The residence permit of Spain is a document that allows it holder to legally reside in Spain. Depending on its type and the reason, upon which it has been issued, it may also allow or prohibit other activities, such as conducting business.

The Spain's government issues the following types of residence permits:

• Residence permit issued to nationals of third countries, locally also known as:

• Community regime' foreign nationals card (issued to relatives of European Union citizens), locally also known as:
  • Tarjeta de extranjeros 'régimen comunitario' (expedida a familiares de ciudadanos de la Unión Europea)
• Card for foreign nationals 'student', locally also known as:
  • Tarjeta de extranjeros 'estudiante'
• List of persons participating in a school trip within the European Union, locally also known as:
  • Lista de personas que participan en un viaje escolar dentro de l'Unión Europea
