Passport of Portugal
The passport of Portugal is a document that proves that a person has a citizenship of Portugal. If you apply for a residency programme with the aim of getting a citizenship, acquiring a passport is one of your primary aims.
Portugal's passport is considered to be the 10th strongest passport out of 199 passports of the world. The holders of the passport can enter 124 countries with no visa requirements and in 43 jursidictions they would receive a visa on arrival. In 31 countries, the holder of the passport would still need a visa. This makes the passport of Portugal (and, by default, Portugal's citizenship) stronger than 95% of the world's citizenships.
The passport is valid for 5 years. There is also an electronic, machine-readable version of the document. The passport of the current format is rather old. It has been in use for 7 years, since 10 July 2017.
