You will need to apply for a different Estonian Schengen Visa depending on whether you plan to visit, study, or work and live in Estonia permanently.
Steps for processing the visa
- Download the application form
- Fill it up completely and honestly.
- There must be two photographs linked. (The photo should be in passport format, with a light background and a recent whole-face snap.)
- Copies of your previous visas in Estonia and your passport. Validity is required for at least 90 days following the return date. It is required to have at least two blanks in your passport.
- Travel medical insurance. Confirmation of coverage of at least 30,000 € throughout Estonia and the full Schengen area.
- A cover letter. Defining the goal of the trip to Estonia as well as the itinerary.
- A copy of your itinerary, this includes flight details, arrival, and departure dates
- Proof of Accommodation. For the entire period that you intend to spend in Estonia.
- Proof of civil status. Marriage certificate, children’s birth certificates, spouse’s death certificate, and, if appropriate, ration card
- Means of subsistence. The evidence must show that you have enough financial resources to live in the country within the period of your stay. A minimum of 100 Euro per day is required
If employed:
- Employment contract.
- Current bank statement for last six months.
- No-objection letter from employer.
- Form Income Tax Return or Certificate of Income Tax Deducted at Source.
If self-employed:
- A copy of your business license.
- Company bank statement for the last six months.
- Income Tax Return (ITR)
If a student:
- Proof of enrollment.
- No-objection certificate from school or university.
If retired:
- Pension statement for last six months.
- If applicable: Property documentation over the previous six months and income generated by such property.
