Applying for Visa

Traveling to Cyprus either for tourism, studies, work, business, or employment purposes u need a visa.  Visa is an official document granting the holder permission into the country. When planning a trip to Cyprus it is always necessary to engage the services of travel and your agency for adequate planning. 

The first question always on people’s minds is where and how can I get a visa? A visa form can be obtained from the Cyprus Embassy or the official website of the embassy. Applicants must bear in mind that the visa is not free and it comes with a price. After filling out the form and presenting the basic requirements, individuals would be given a specific date for an interview with the embassy officials. All documents would be cross-checked again and a verbal explanation of traveling would be asked. After all, is done a visa would be given to the applicant. Before applying for a visa form individuals must ensure all of the necessary documents are available. False or missing documents can result in a visa denial.

Visa requirements 

  • A valid International passport:  a valid International passport, its expiry date must be 3 months away from the day of exit from Cyprus. This document is where the visa stamp would be placed. It must carry your photograph and all previous visas are required 
  • A passport photograph:  a picture taken not more than 3 months ago with the appropriate background, 80% of your face must be seen. This picture must be without glass 
  • Medical insurance:  Any proof of an available medical insurance 
  • Flight tickets: flight reservations for both to and fro is required before getting a visa form 
  • Evidence of financial capabilities: Along with a bank statement, proof of financial stability is required.
  • Accommodation: Reservations for a hotel or a place to stay in Cyprus. Having your own apartment, staying with a family, or staying with a friend
  • Employment contract: an appointment is expected from the firm or organization that offers you a job
  • Admission letter:  students are to provide a letter from their school or university confirming their enrollment and the duration of their course. A copy of the most recent graduation certificate is sometimes required.
  • Cover letter:  a letter about yourself, explaining the reason your travel
  • Trade license: a document permitting the holder to do business within the territories of Cyprus 
  • Certificate of Academic qualifications:  original certification from attended showing your result and qualifications
