If you are currently living in Pakistan and are considering moving to the Czech Republic, the following information will assist you in obtaining a Residence Permit in the nation. Also, keep in mind the distinction that exists between a visa for the Schengen area and a permit to live in the country.

With a Schengen visa, which is considered a short-term visa, you are permitted to travel to and stay in the country for up to a maximum of ninety days during any period of 180 days. Because the Schengen visa is valid in all 26 countries, you are free to go to any of the nations that make up the Schengen area without any restrictions.

The residence permit for the European Union is either a temporary or a permanent permit that allows you to stay in any EU country such as the Czech Republic. The temporary permit is issued to the immigrant for a maximum of five years, and you can apply for the permanent permit after you have lived in the country for at least five years. Students, those traveling into the country to work, and those reconnecting with family members or relatives are the only people who are eligible to receive the permit, and it is only valid for the period of their studies. You can submit your visa application at the Czech Embassy in Islamabad.

Pakistan to Czech

The process of obtaining the permit for those immigrating to Czechia from Pakistan is as follows:

Booking an appointment

You are expected to submit your application to the Czech Embassy in Islamabad. Ensure to book an application before going and this is by writing a mail to the embassy email address visa_islamabad@mzv.cv with the title “appointment” on the top section.

Supporting documents

All of the necessary paperwork for the application must be prepared. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan must attest any documents produced by the authorities of Pakistan, such as your birth or marriage certificate, police character certificate, and school diplomas before they can be super-legalized by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Islamabad.

Every piece of supporting evidence needs to be either prepared in Pakistan or translated into Czech by a translator who is registered with the Czech Ministry of Justice. Additionally, the translation needs to be verified by the Embassy. A medical certificate and a statement from a bank account are two examples of documents that can be presented in English as an exception.

Before applying for a visa or a residence permit, the necessary papers must first go through the process of being authenticated. To apply for a visa or a permit, as well as to have these documents authenticated, you will need to schedule a separate appointment with the embassy. To schedule an appointment at the embassy, you are required to send a message with the subject “appointment.”
