What you need to know
You have the same right as the EU Blue Card holder, after five years of legally living and working in the EU, you can obtain a permanent residency permit.

What happens after you apply?

When you will be granted with permanent residency, you will have almost the same benefits as the citizens of the state that you are staying in. You can also move within the rest of the EU member states.
You will have access to employment and all correlating conditions, education and vocational training. Social security and health insurance, as well as social assistance and social benefits. Freedom of movement and freedom of association of union. You will have access to housing, grants and loans.
You can move to another EU state for three months if there will be economic activity as employed of self-employed and pursuit of studies.
If you want to do so, you need to present these documents to the authorities. The long-term residence permit, identity document, employment contract, accommodation financial resources and health insurance.
Family members can accompany long-term residents. You can obtain citizenship permit after you legally lived in the country for eight years.
Long-term residency can be rejected.
There are lists of things that can be considered as the reason why your long-term residency was rejected. Public policy and security threat, absence from the hosting country for more than twelve months, fraud and the number of EU citizens admitted are already set out by the hosting state.
