Numerous Lebanese decide to move to Spain each year, many of them coming from close-by nations including Morocco, the UK, and Italy. Spain is one of the leading three nations that expatriates, particularly Lebanese, would like to move to recently, as per search terms.

This blog article is intended to assist Lebanese people to understand the immigration procedure to Spain.

Visa required for Lebanese

Spain provides foreign nationals with a variety of visa alternatives, the most common of which is the Schengen card. Lebanese nationals need a Schengen card to enter the country. The typical length of residence is only 3 months, and the visa expires after that time. The candidate must be present when requesting a Schengen visa for Spain. There are the following papers required for a Schengen pass:

  • Passport;
  • Request form;
  • Insurance proof;
  • Cover letter;
  • Evidence of lodging;
  • Financial statements; and
  • Return ticket.

However, a Schengen card is only for people who wish to stay for a short period. People hoping to immigrate and settle in the country must apply for an entrepreneur permit or a highly qualified professional pass.

Entrepreneur visa

The entrepreneur card is a residency permit that enables you to dwell in the country for two years as long as you launch a project there that serves the economic interests of Spain as a whole. You cannot simply start any kind of business. To be accepted, your proposal must adhere to the conditions specified below:

  • Its operational procedure must incorporate advanced technology.
  • It needs to produce worthwhile investment prospects.
  • For the sake of the nation, it must generate jobs.
  • You must have copyrights, reference letters, or some clientele to increase your likelihood of approval.

Highly qualified worker visa

If Lebanese can obtain an employment opportunity in a Spanish firm for a certified or expert role, they can reside and work lawfully in Spain with the help of the Highly Skilled Card.

As a highly trained expert, you are qualified to file for this work visa if your labor profile fits one of the following:

  • Lebanese who finished their superior studies in a prestigious business school or university;
  • People who hold highly specialized and technical jobs; and
  • Supervisors and chief executives oversee a sizable workforce within an organization.

It is a two-year authorization for resident status that may be extended several times until obtaining permanent residency.

Process for request application

The first step is to file your request to the Spanish Consulate General in Lebanon. Your entry will be forwarded to the appropriate Spanish establishment, which will decide whether to accept or reject it.

You will receive your permit from the passport office or embassy if your request is approved. You can go to Spain with this permit. Make sure to book your trip no later than 90 days from the date you acquire your visa.

Once you are inside the nation and have requested your NIE card, you must request a residency card. You will receive a residency permit if you satisfy the prerequisites and bring the required paperwork. Following are the papers you need for a residency visa:

  • Zero criminal records;
  • Medical insurance;
  • Passport;
  • Proof of enough financial resources;
  • Evidence of lodging;
  • Evidence of higher education;
  • Identification documents; and
  • The document contains the reason behind immigration.

You will be able to stay in the nation for a complete year with the help of this residency card. You can extend it for an extra 2 years after that first year if you continue to satisfy the conditions, and so on.

You can now seek citizenship once you have resided in the area for 10 years and have renewed your pass sufficient times.
