Various types of visas may be required depending on why you are visiting Lithuania. You must apply for a different Lithuanian Schengen Visa depending on whether you intend to travel, study, work, or live there permanently. Since 2007, when Lithuania joined the Schengen Area as a member state of the EU, you can apply for a Lithuanian Schengen Visa.

Why a visa for Lithuania is required
For citizens of Pakistan to travel to Lithuania, they must have a visa. If you already have a Schengen visa, you might not need a Lithuanian visa. However, it only permits you to stay in Lithuania for a brief time. You will require a Lithuanian National Visa if you need to visit Lithuania for a longer period.
Categories
Your visit’s purpose and length will determine if you need a visa to enter Lithuania. The following are the available categories:
The Schengen
There are two types of Schengen visas: the Airport Transit Visa (A) and the Short-Stay Visa (C).
Airport transit (A)
Travelers who need to enter or leave Lithuania to board a subsequent airline, ferry, or train are given a transit visa. It is valid for travel via regions with international transit, such as airports. But it will apply to every Schengen Member State.
Short stay permit (C)
The maximum stay permitted under this type is three months, however, it must occur no later than six months after the date of admission into one of the member Schengen nations. But it functions as both a single-entry and a multiple-entry.
National Visa (D)
Based on the number of entries, it is separated into two types. Multiple and Single Entry.
Only one entry
An alien is given this kind of visa. The person is then permitted to live in the Republic of Lithuania permanently or temporarily. The department in charge of issuing visas is the Migration Department of the Ministry of Interior.
Multiple entries
An alien who enters the country specifically to periodically enter and exit the country is granted this type.
Application process
You can electronically download an application form from the internet. It must be electronically completed before being printed. In addition to photos and other necessary documents, the application must be signed. You should be aware that there are no centers to apply to. It can only be delivered to the Lithuanian Embassy in Pakistan directly. The Lithuanian embassy should be contacted to schedule an appointment that would take place there. A confirmation number to check the progress of the application will be provided, along with a receipt for the services and fees charged throughout the procedure.
Documents required
The following documentation must be supplied to obtain a Lithuanian visa:
- One current color passport photo that is 35×45 in size
- a completed electronic visa application form
- passport valid for six months after the travel date with at least two blank pages
- valid medical insurance with a 30,000 euro minimum.
- a reserved flight that has been verified.
- a duplicate of a work permit from the Lithuanian Labor Exchange
- Electronic submission of the mediation letter through EPIS
- proof of adequate subsistence
- proof of professional experience
- evidence of professional qualifications
Fees
All forms of visas are subject to a price of 60 euros. Additionally, the charge can only be paid in euros. The payment will be made using the exchange rate in effect at the time.
