If you are visiting Denmark or any Schengen countries, as a tourist, on a business trip or vacation, that will require a stay for a limited period. For this purpose, a visa is required. A resident permit is granted to those foreign nationals if they intend to stay for a long period to work or study or stay with a family or relative.

You are allowed 90 days in any Schengen region every 6 months before you must return to Pakistan. If you plan to stay permanently, you must apply for a residence visa and will be issued a 3–5-year penalty period before receiving a permanent one.

The immigration authority will deny your application if they suspect you’re applying for both at the same time, wanting long-term residency after your visa approval, or if you have a resident permit pending and are asking for a Schengen visa.

To get your residence permit in Pakistan, you will have to visit the Royal Danish Embassy in Islamabad Pakistan, or the honorary ‘Consulate General of Denmark in Karachi.
